Hair Today + The Sartorialist

I remember the days when I used to look at magazines for inspiration when it was time to get my hair cut. Now I look to my favorite fashion photo blog, The Sartorialist. If you're inspired by real street style, you'll get lost for hours here.

It's time for a new do and I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't had my hair cut, highlighted or anything since right before my wedding in February. February! For those who are slow with the math, that comes out to nine months! Nine months! Some people have had babies in less time. But I'm a busy girl. Or so I try to justify it to myself.

Below, some pictures that inspire me to want to go super short and with bangs, though I know from past experience that I should attempt neither. My hair looks most like the top left picture, which is to say it's pulled back in some form of a bun/ponytail/chignon/mess every single day because a girl who's too busy to get her hair cut for nine months is obviously too busy to actually do her hair every day. But these girls have such amazing style and actual "styles" that it makes me want to make the effort. Thoughts?
