TREND #1: Pump Up the Volume

Those who loved last year's bubble skirts will be happy to know that volume is big again for spring -- and the volume has gotten even bigger. Dresses and skirts are filling up more space than usual and in interesting shapes, including trapeze and empire waistlines. Shoulders have even been volumized with puffed-up sleeves and drawers have even gone droopy. Skinnies are taking a backseat to fatties (wide-legged pants) and, speaking of new looks in bottoms, high-waisted pants are emerging again (think more Katherine Hepburn than mom jeans).
