Q. Help! For almost three weeks I've scoured the stores (online and off) in search of a decent, everyday, casual spring/summer handbag for under $30. Am I too cheap or is there really nothing out there?

A. As someone who's been crowned by friends as the Queen of Cheap Chic, I couldn't be happier to take on this challenge – though I must admit I didn't find it much of one, as there are always cute options in fashion in every price range, bags not excluded, and I'm addicted to seeking them out. I headed to some of my favorite cheap-chic online shops and unearthed some bags I think you'll love.

First up, Target. Proenza Schouler's new line for Target features the Canvas Trapunto Bag in heavy linen and patent leather. It's just $24.99 and is a great value as the bag can work for business lunch or weekend brunch. Target has a ton of darling bags in a rainbow of colors and shapes, many under $30. Next, pop on by hipster cheap-chic resource Urban Outfitters. There are lots of great bags on sale in the $30 range, from fun plaid to great spring–appropriate solids like yellow, blue and white. One of my faves is the Studded Buckle Bag, originally $58, now just $19.99. In cream, it goes with just about anything you can imagine and has a fab slouchy shape, roomy interior and fabulous asymmetrical exterior pockets for your phone, keys and sunglasses.

It's hard not to love anything Fred Flare serves up and I'm digging the Quilted Heart Blues purse, the Jail House Rock tote and Candy Stripe Tote, all ranging from $20-$36.

Last, click on over to Delia's, where you'll find the easy breezy Kaylee Eyelet Bag in white eyelet, the super sweet Stanton Bag, a cute yellow canvas number with white hearts and a kiss-lock closure, and the Chloe Messenger, which is perfect for all of the happy spring days ahead.
