February 24, 2005 : The Cat's Meow

Living in the city can cause a serious love-hate relationship. For instance, here in New York, BussBuss loves that she can do anything and go anywhere at any time, but BussBuss hates that everyone else can do the same because it's always super busy and crowded. BussBuss also lurves her loft, but BussBuss loathes that she can't have a pet. Well, problem solved. These adorable, one-of-a-kind kitties scream, "Adopt Me!" And since they don't actually eat or breathe, you don’t have to feed them and you most definitely don't need a litter box. Unless you want one that is. And wouldn't you know it's very posh to adopt from Australia these days (where these darlings are born)? Fees range from $15-$40 and commissions are accepted at janicemarie.id.au.

February 15, 2005 : Dress for Spring

Here in New York, spring is desperately trying to get itself sprung. Proof: howling winds and freezing rain have replaced snow! Progress is turtle-like, but present, and everyday it's sunny, BussBuss cranks the heat, puts on some spring frock and pretends it's actually warm outside. Delusional? Sure. Necessary? Indeed. The great delusional BussBuss is loving this sweet dress for spring, and it's just $48. Pair it with a yellow cardigan and you'll believe it's already spring, too.

February 14, 2005 : Crack Kills

How low can you go? Apparently much lower now with new Backless Lingerie. Perplexed? So were we. The idea is that since jeans (and evening dresses) are being cut lower and lower, and the showing thong is so passé, a girl needs a new solution. So the Aussie's came up with Backless Lingerie, an invisible panty whose straps sit snugly around the upper thigh instead of the waist, eliminating the need for an uncomfy and revealing g-string and vanishing panty lines. Odd for sure, but BussBuss can't help but wonder if this will be the new standard in panties in five years (gasp!). If you're game for trying new things, you can snag a pair for $14.95-$18.95 here.

Happy Valentine's Day!

February 02, 2005 : Plump Your Pucker

Strolling the New York Gift Show yesterday, BussBuss was in heaven when a lovely lady from theBalm offered to plump BussBuss's pucker. Say what? You heard right. With a yummy flavored lipbalm by the name of Strawberry My Shortcake (lurve it!), BussBuss felt its lips cool and tingle, not to mention shine, in all the right ways. No goopiness. Just nice, long-lasting moisture, the result of the combination of beeswax, vitamin C and some other special ingredients. The coolest part is that over time, say a month of using Plump your Pucker regularly, you're even supposed to notice a difference in the fullness of your lips. BussBuss can't wait to see if she turns into Angelina Jolie and if Brad's really her new beau! Either way, we're just happy to have found such a fab gloss with such a cute name. Plump your Pucker for Valentine's Day, and score a trio set for just $21, at sephora.com.
