Loft Party

We are absolutely loving design and home dιcor shop Loft Party. It reminds us how good it is to be living in a loft, but also how important it is to have fun with design – no matter if you're in a loft, a studio, a McMansion or a dorm. Find everything from retro phones to French Bull serving platters to hip partyware and stylish Thomas Paul pillows. In a nutshell, everything you need to have a great-looking space while you throw great-looking parties.

Our fave thing right now? The most amazing selection of pillows. We're wavering between the poptastic prints and the natural Amenity line. Find your faves, along with great hostess gifts too, right here at Loft Party.

Sophia Style

Like Marc Jacobs, we also think Sofia Coppola has really cool style. Normally seen in simple-with-an-edge dresses and flats, she pulls off effortlessly hip, well, effortlessly. When we saw this Sophia navy dress by Shumaq we instantly fell in love and envisioned Sofia herself in it (perhaps the inspiration for it?). It would look equally fab with flats as it would with chunky patent leather heels or platforms and is the ideal summer-into-fall dress (not to mention perfect for Fashion Week). We also think it's very office-to-cocktails appropriate.

Love it too and want to see other cool-chic Shumaq creations? Scope them all right here at Purple Peach. Plus, BussBuss readers take an exclusive 15% off everything with code HauteShop.

Patent Pending

Three huge trends for fall? The color red, patent leather and belts cinched high on the waist. We believe all are great trends when rawked in moderation – red giving that pop of color we so often need, patent leather because it just looks so new and fresh (it's what sequins were last year – glossy and shiny but in a more sophisticated way) and cinched waists, showing we actually do have waists and are not amorphous blobs.

We're all for getting the trends in one easy piece, like with this darling red patent belt that is oh-so very cheap-chic. Pair it with your tops and even over your sweaters and coats and you'll be the glam '40s vixen you know you were destined to be. Nab the red beauty (and remember it should fit your natural high waist, not your hips like your low-slung jeans) right here at Delias.

Bag a Myna

Independent handbag label Myna is having a fab sale so now's the time to nab a beautiful bag at a bargain price. We're really loving the Waverly tote and the Cyd velvet clutch for fall. And we lurve that they're more than 50% off. All Myna bags are super limited edition, so once they're gone, they're gone forever. Scope out your faves – from the new fall line too – right here at Myna.

It's a Small World

They say it's the little things in life that mean the most, and after peeping Small Things Designs, we're in full agreement. Jewelry designer Teresa Robinson creates each stunning piece by hand in her Portland studio, where she's inspired by flora, fauna and modernism. We love the aesthetics and that each piece is one of a kind due to its handcrafted nature. The only problem? We can't choose which piece we love more.

Topping our lust list? The flora vs. fauna circle necklaces, especially the bee, as well as the uniquely cool rings, particularly the daffodil, bell and deco poppy. Birdies, skulls, crosses and stars are also available, and with such reasonable prices, we just might not have to choose just one. Find your faves right here at Small Things Designs.

Good to Be You

We came across the cutest little online boutique recently that made us remember that being girly is actually something we love, so its name couldn't be more perf -- Good to Be You. GTBY carries lots of adorable girly-glam goodies, but the one that caught our eye was the Yasmena. Remember these from Sex and the City? They're fab when going to a cocktail party or out dancing or to a wedding or anywhere you need your essentials but want to be hands-free.

The clever patented design with stretch-like handles gives you the option of wearing your Yasmena several ways, like in your palm, on your hand, around your wrist or with your dainty little fingers. We'll be sporting ours at all the Fashion Week parties in just a few weeks. Score yours in a variety of styles (we heart the vintage and the flapper) right here at Good to Be You.

Paper Lust

Some are addicted to drugs, others sex, some of us lipgloss and others, well, paper. We happen to fall in the latter two categories. We can't explain our passion for paper other than to say it puts a smile on our fresh faces and is the budget-conscious hautie's version of art collecting. After all, it IS art, just in smaller form and for a price that's much easier to stomach. We like to put our faves up on our FLOR bulletin board, next to our baubles.

Right now, we think the paper goods section at Pixelgirl Shop is too cute for words. Especially the Egg Pirate Stationery by Sugarlily, the Glittery Asian Girl notecard set, and the Orla Keily-esque Red Buds Journal. Pretty paper makes a great gift too. Give in to your paper addiction right here at Pixelgirl Shop.

Smack This

There aren't many beauty products that we get excited about, let alone excited enough to DailyBuss about. We're quick to say the products simply let us down, but we're kinda known for our ADD-ness, so the problem could be that we don't follow directions and stick to things very well. Um, where were we? Oh right. One beauty must-have that we literally can't live without and will ruin our day if we don't have constant access to it is this very simple and cheap Dr. Pepper lipsmackers. Like Chapstick, our former old faithful, but better because it provides the perfect amount of just a little color (re: mostly clear but with a smidge of red), we're psyched to be able to try new flavors in this five-piece set here at Fred Flare.

Will Orange Crush win our hearts? Perhaps, but we'd bet the bank that the A&W Root Beer will be our new fall beauty obsession. Mwah!

Hauties With Hearts

Lawd knows you look good, and chances are, you're just as sweet. To us, you're perfection. Want to spread some of that wonderfulness to those who could use it?

Talking to one of our most fave peeps in the world over IM the other night -- who just happens to be in one of those countries ending in "stan" while he serves in the war -- made us realize just how lucky we are. And how much we should be giving back. While everyone has a different opinion on the war (or should we say wars) and the state of current events, we don't know anyone who doesn't support our troops. But do we ever stop to really show it?

While ribbons and flags on the homefront are nice, soldiers fighting abroad can't see them. But, they do enjoy the same things we do: mags, music, junk food, beauty products (um, hello, let's not forget all of the brave female hauties serving too, allowing us to live safely, happily enjoying our admittedly frivolous interests). Investigating how to send packages and letters to troops, we came across the fab site anysoldier.com.

Here you can click on the name of a troop who has posted up-to-date requests on things he/she needs and things that might make his/her day brighter. We know you're fabulous and love stuff as much as we do. We're simply asking you to take a few moments to send some of that stuff to someone who could really use it right now. And remember, all troops love letters, just remember to seal them with a BussBuss (kiss, kiss, darlings)!

P.S. We also know many of our readers are some of the incredible designers and shops we often feature, so we'd like to note that many soldiers request items that you make/carry, like stationery so they can write home, girly beauty products reminding the female troops that they're feminine and the like.

Three Way

There's nothing we love more in our la vida loca than versatility. After all, we surely do get around (um, we mean we jaunt to Paris, not get around like Paris) and flexibility is the key to life, no? A must-have for our jetset wardrobe? This fab Kamali Piece at Artful Wears. Wear it as a dress (with sexy heels and glittering jewelry at night), as a skirt (paired with a tank and flats for day), or as a poncho for those chilly nights (we envision it over a cami and jeans or even as a cover up at the pool – just remember to rawk your Jackie-O shades).

It comes in chocolate and black and will save you loads of space in your suitcase -- which means extra room for shoes -- hooray. It's a bargain too, especially when you consider it's at least three pieces in one. Scoop it up for 30% off right here at Artful Wears.

Hint: It's also one size fits most, which means it makes a great gift for your fashionista pals.

Ivanna Take a Peek

We love discovering fabulous new shopping sites (obviously, it's what we live for), and we're extra excited about Scandinavian design shop Peek Keep. True to its name, there's plenty we're peeking and want to be keeping. Especially everything by Ivana Helsinki. Her adorable and vintage-esque coin purse has been added to our must-have list (and would make a fab little gift for a friend come the holidays), and the wonderfully original serving tray, with the same print of the girl we love, would make breakfast in bed -- and cocktails -- that much sweeter.

We're also really loving the Fennofolk bag for fall – its generous size means we could tote the kitchen sink with us, which is important considering there's nothing else we do in the kitchen. Scope out all of the fab offerings, from home accessories to accessories for yourself, right here at Peek Keep.

Loving Luna Lou

Seems like everyone we know is popping out babies left and right: Katie, Angelina, Gwyneth, Heidi, all of our other imaginary friends. What's a girl to get those babies for their first, second or third birthdays? How about the most adorable pop-art toddler blankies in the world? The new line of super soft Luna Lou blankets feature scrumptious cupcakes with "I Dream of Cupcakes" scrawled along the border and retro owls that say "Up All Night, Silly All Day." But the baby-less and young-at-heart can totally use them too. Rumor is Lisa Loeb even has one on the back of her couch (hint: they make cute wall hangings too and we're totally taking one on our next plane ride).

Scope them out here at Luna Lou. Plus enter 'BUSS BUSS' in the "where did you hear about us?" box at checkout and score a free book tote too (a $14.50 value). Offer expires 9/30/06.

Parlez-Vous Paul & Joe?

The whole kimono-style tops and dresses trend is one that we love. Why? Because it's flattering on all body types (that we can envision anyway), looks elegant and cool and is even timeless. Yes, timeless. There's no reason you can't rawk this look year after year, not to mention from summer into fall (when it gets cold, just pair this baby with a turtleneck, a long chunky cardi and some tights). And while we've seen versions of this dress for $200 and way beyond, we prefer ours for less than $30, thanks. Thankfully we can get it from French fashion label Paul & Joe – for a limited time – right here at Tarjay. Plus, spend $50 or more on women's fall fashions and score free shipping!

Not So Plain Mabel

We hadn't been by independent goods purveyor Plain Mabel in quite some time – and boy were we missing out. Things we never knew we couldn't live without include an erin originals wallet made of vinyl measuring tape, a Brooklyn Bags Ella the Elephant tiny tote and this Erica Weiner silver scissors necklace. Honestly, we must own this necklace, and luckily, at just $35, we can definitely afford to do so – hooray! It will look so haute layered with our recent Poison Apple finds. Scope out all of the quirky hipster goodies and find your can't-live-without faves right here at Plain Mabel.

Skirt the Issue

If you've been with BussBuss for a few years, you've probably picked up on how much we love Made With Love by Hannah's skirts. We happily own and love wearing the red apple pickin' wrap skirt and have effused about the sensational sunflower skirt. Now we have even more to get giddy about. Our favorite new designs include the darling distlefink skirt, the bukarest skirt and the tree top skirt. Why do we heart them so?

Besides being just plain adorable and super easy to wear, we can't get over the fact that each one is hand screened (that's right, she makes her own fabric) and costs less than we'd pay at ho-hum Banana and way less than, say, Anthropologie. And the limited-edition nature of handmade also translates into the fact that no one else will be rawking your skirt. Even better. Scope out your faves – and be sure to browse the super cute tops and 'more fun stuff' section too (think cute aprons, tea towels, belts and brooches) – here at Made With Love by Hannah.

Hangin' Tough

The best way to add edgy coolness to an otherwise girly getup? With tough and tongue-in-cheek accessories. The best spot to do that? At Poison Apple. New York City designer Jonelle Maira expertly combines what's trendy in fashion (skulls, chains and anchors to name a few) without the pieces seeming trendy in the least (i.e. there's no ticking timebomb on how long you can wear her pieces). They simply seem innately cool, fresh and surprisingly elegant – and unbelievably affordable.

While we never really got in on the whole skull hoopla, we can't help but crave her lolita skulls 'n' roses earrings. And the pearl conglomerate necklace evokes the same tough elegance as the Chanel necklace Keira Knightley rawked on August's Elle cover (that we loved!), except it won't cost us one month's rent. Thank goodness. Check out the entire line here at Poison Apple.

How To Look Like a Million Bucks When You Only Have $30

The key to buying bargain items that look spendy is to keep it simple, Sally. Go for print-less jersey and knit basics in neutral tones that peeps can't quite place. For instance, we often rawk a super simple jersey brown top and have been asked if it's Prada on more than one occasion. Nope, it was $9.99 at Marshalls. With another very simple dress worn yesterday at the always-catty ENK accessories tradeshow, we were continuously complimented on a dress we found a few years back at H&M for less than $20.

The point? Keep your bargain finds simple and no one will be the wiser. A few we're digging? These grey wonders that have a very Stella McCartney vibe but with a very appropriate Alloy price tag. And this sweet white top with black bow is a steal too and just perfect with all those a-line and circle skirts crowding our closets. Browse them all here. Plus get free shipping on orders of $75+ with code ACKAFF at checkout.

Seeing Red

Red is supposed to be huge for fall, and we've been obsessed with red and blue together for some time now (it's just so very French). And this very mod Marc Jacobs-esque babydoll jacket is too cute to resist, especially since it has a decidedly non-Marc Jacobs price tag. We heart the big blue buttons, the patch sleeves and the adorable hood. Pick up your own Kimchi & Blue Dot Jacquard Babydoll Jacket (think of it as an upgraded hoodie) right here at Urban Outfitters.

Unsung Designers

They may be unsung, but we want to shout about these designers from the rooftops. Unsung Desingers features more than 60 young designers — it's like a New York designers' market at the click of your mouse. Find cutting-edge trends from clothes to handbags to jewelry and even shoes!

We especially heart this marigold embroidered skirt from Mignonette, which is French slang for 'cute girl.' And cute you'll be in this girly skirt with a brown velvet ribbon by Brooklyn designer Kpoene' Kofi-Bruce.

Love Unsung as much as we do? BussBuss talked indie fashion and Project Runway with hauties Alishia Frey and Grace Wang, co-founders of Unsung Designers. Peep the interview here!

Fall for Tweed

Even though it feels like 107 degrees outside, we're in the arctic blast of our air-conditioner, leaving us thinking about cute fall fashion. We can't help it – it's what we live for, okay?! And this darling tweed dress, with its cute drop waist, is on our must-have list. Cute with bare legs or later on with chunky tights, mary janes or ankle boots and a turtleneck, you can score this versatile brown baby right here at Delias.
