Lurve Birds

We've long been in lurve with the fantabulous creations of Laurie Forehand at 1201am. Now, the timing is just right to share a red 'love bird' pillow with someone you heart – even if that someone is your very own couch.

Plus, the Postal Decorativ, a collection of eight awesome postcard designs, would make gorgeous love notes (or Valentine's Day cards). Or, skip the love fest and show off your ingenious style by grouping them together and using as wall art. Either way, find some lovelies right here at 1201am.

Undercover Lover

It's what's on the inside that counts. And when it comes to scratchy winter sweaters and uncomfy stiff suits, that couldn’t be truer. Eliminate the problem, and save on dry cleaning bills while you're at it, with the ultimate innerwear, Autrepeau. Made of nylon and spandex, the super thin and lightweight camis, tanks, crewnecks, turtlenecks and pant liners act as a second skin and will soon become your favorite wardrobe staple.

To boot, all of the tops are cut long enough to wear with your low-rise bottoms without popping out, and help to smooth out your whole look, which is, let's face it, priceless. Pick up your essential underthings right here at Autrepeau.

Dolce Vita

Anyone who knows us knows we're big fans of the sweet life, hence our champagne and lollypops lifestyle. And we're certainly fans of sweet sales. Right now, Dolce Vita is having one heck of a sale and we're completely snagging this trench coat (that doubles as a dress) for an unbelievable price.

While we're at it, we'll finally indulge in some darling wedges and smokin' hot boots too. Scope out all the lovelies right here at Dolce Vita.

Refined Taste

We've been big fans of Refinery29, a site that tells you all of the cool independent boutiques in New York City, for some time now. And now they've launched Refinery29Shops, for those of us who don't live in the big fat apple, but want to shop like we do nonetheless – and for those of us who just prefer the instant gratification of shopping online.

We're loving all of the jewelry by In God We Trust, Lisa Levine, Erica Weiner, Matter and more, but there's plenty of clothing, bags and accessories to lust after as well (check out the darling ruffled panties that would be just perf for Valentine's Day). Scope it all out, and find your fave independent designers from around the globe, here at Refinery29Shops.

Hello Yellow

If you loved Reese Witherspoon's Golden Globes look as much as we did, but don't exactly have $12,000 to spend on a frock (which is what her fresh Nina Ricci canary yellow number is rumored to have cost -- not that she paid for it, of course), then perhaps this 'inspired' version will fit the bill. Like Reese, you'll stun your ex, your future lover and even yourself with your gorgeousness. Scoop it up, and be sure to check out the kazillions of other fab frocks, at dress-lovers' paradise eDressMe.

HAUTE TOPIC: We wanna know what you think of knockoffs and celeb-inspired looks. Our take? While we don't think this takes away sales from the original designer (after all, does someone who will pay $12k for a dress really overlap with someone who spends $200?), we do think the original designer should get some kind of royalties for a certain period of time, but until that law's enacted, it's just the nature of the biz.

Creatures of Comfort

We're, like, totally obsessed with LA-based Creatures of Comfort. Why? Owner Jade Lai has an amazing eye for detail, filling our ever-growing addiction for artsy, edgy and cool up-and-coming designers. Think Vena Cava, Grey Ant, United Bamboo, Imitation of Christ, Alexandre Herchcovitch, Loeffler Randall and Karen Walker all under one virtual roof that we can access in a click.

What's more, there are tons of drool-worthy frocks, shoes and accessories on sale and we're discovering designers we've never even heard of yet, but are positive will be super stars some day soon. Discover them for yourself right here at Creatures of Comfort.

The Long of It

Dachshund devotees, and Cute Overload lovers alike, will flip for this darling clutch by 31 Corn Lane. Not only does it feature a wiener-dog print, but it comes with a dachshund keychain, too. We think it's just perf for tossing in your essentials (cell, keys, plastic bags) for your walk to the dog park, where your haute dog will undoubtedly turn up her nose at lesser breeds (and by lesser, we mean less long).

Scoop up this cutesy clutch right here at Fred Flare.

Berry Cute

Since most of the country, including sunnylicious California, is frozen over, we're dreaming of our winter escape. Last year we jetted off to the Virgin Islands and Vieques. This year, we're thinking a little Hawaii action may be in order – or perhaps we'll just head to the roof with some chick lit and a mudslide (what's the difference really?).

Either way, we'll be soaking up the sun in one of the cute new swimsuits from Delias. We think the super girly strawberry and gingham numbers are sweet and the prices are just right for our fickle tastes. Plus, get free shipping on orders of $75+ with code DTAAFF at checkout through 2/2/07.

Mai Flores

We can't express enough how amazing we think the Manhattan shop EDGE*nyNOHO is and we fell in love with so many of its designers at our shindig there last month. One of the jewelry designers we're especially loving is Mai Flores and her nature-inspired designs. Simple, modern and with just the right amount of movement, we're keen on the Bee Necklace and the dangly Green Onyx Waterfall Earrings. Luckily, Mai Flores has a pretty little webshop so you can get your fix in a click right here.

STAY TUNED! Next Tuesday we'll unveil the winners of the goodie bags from the EDGE soiree, as well as party photos and info on all the designers at EDGE, so you can shop 'til you plop even if you don't live in the shiny Big Apple.

Your Golden Globes

The Golden Globes are next Monday night and since we're thankful for Ugly Betty, Entourage and The Devil Wears Prada, we're feeling a little Globes par-tay coming on. We'll save time and make our lives easier by scoring nearly everything we need for said shindig online (human interaction -- who needs it?). We've spotted fab invitations and supplies at Plum Party.

On Our List:

*'Admit One' Invitations (never underestimate setting the mood)
*Hollywood Slate Board (to welcome guests and to intro new sips and sweets)
*Glamorous Tiaras (hello, props)
*'Admit One' Chocolates (décor and snacks in one!)
*Hollywood Street Signs (décor, dahlings)
*Alcoholics Unanimous Cocktail Napkins (in honor of La Lohan)
*Old-Fashioned Popcorn Boxes (sustenance is key and we know we can handle this much "cooking")

We'll Serve:

Tangerini Jolies -- not that she's been nominated for anything {insert evil laugh here}

To concoct your tangerine martinis, simply shake up two parts Tangerini mix (nab it here at Stirrings) with one part vodka over cold ice. Garnish with wax lips on the side (score your la lips here at Candy Crate).
While you're at Candy Crate, nab some old-fashioned movie candy too -- you can't serve popcorn without it! Towards the end of the soiree, we'll pop the golden bubbly, say when Best Picture is announced.

The Final Scene:

Of course, the only reason we'll be watching is to see what the stars are wearing. After the festivities, we'll click on over to our fave celeb style blogs for all the fash dish: People's awesome StyleWatch blog and the always hilarious Go Fug Yourself.

The Farmlife

While we've never had any desire to live on a farm, we have plenty of desire to own The Farmlife tee by NoCal designer extraordinaire Jill Bliss. Colorful and full of life, this tee sums up everything we're going to love about living on the left coast. Plus, it's recently come to our attention that wineries are technically farms (umm, grape farms), so maybe we are farm girls at heart – dressed in urban girls' clothing that is.

Pick up a limited-edition tee (or tote or calendar or badgeset) at the very gorgeous Blissen right here.

This Lil Piggy

We love Pamela Barsky, Wishingfish, sales and this adorable piggy bank, so we're happier than a pig in a blanket to have them all come together in today's find. Cast from a mid-century mold, this lil piggy has been a hit in the design community this season, plus it even comes with real money inside (one piggy even contains a $100 bill!), and now it's on sale for over 50% off.

Find many other great items too in the post-holiday sale here at Wishingfish.

Kim Family Benefit Art + Craft Auction

While we are thrilled about making our new home in San Francisco, we were very saddened to hear about the loss of local husband, father, reporter and shop owner James Kim. The Kim family owns two wonderful shops in SF, Doe and Church Street Apothecary, both featuring and supporting independent designers.

In an effort to support the Kim family, over 40 artists and independent designers have contributed fantastic items, ranging from jewelry, paper and home goods to toys and clothing, to be auctioned off on eBay, where 100% of the proceeds will go to The James Kim Memorial Fund. The auction starts today and ends on January 7.

A Fresh Start

Happy New Year! After an eventful 2006 and an even more bustling December (BussBuss made its new home in sunny San Francisco), we are back in full swing and ready for a fabulous new year – we hope you are too!

In that spirit, we are more committed than ever to our personal style philosophy and mission of only featuring (and buying) things that make us smile. These fresh and cheery Bellero bags do just that. We especially love the bags featuring mid-century designer Alexander Girard's fantastically retro textiles. Nab a cosmetic clutch or full-size clutch bag to add inspiration to your day right here at Bellero.
