The Bunny Hop + The Perfect Flat Boot
Halloween's all about the silly and so are these bunny wedges. Beyond redonkulous, we actually have a soft spot for them. Perhaps it's that sweet cottontail or the fact that they'll also make a nice house-shoe replacement for our Havaianas this winter. Whatever the reason, you can hop into them here at As always, revel in free overnight shipping and free return shipping -- just another reason we're happily addicted to Zappos. In fact, we think we just found the perfect everyday flat boots for fall: the lovely Intyce by Steven by Steven Madden. They're very Serena a la Gossip Girl (our other new addiction), no? Pick up your perfect pair here at

Dirty Librarian Chains
Halloween's right around the corner and, as usual, we have no costume. But that's okay because we've found inspiration in Dirty Librarian Chains. Meet Me at the Kiosk
Whenever we feel like a holiday is in order, but we can't get away, we head to the fabulously fun and quirky New York design shop Kiosk. Offering a range of gifts, decor and more from all over the world (that the owners source during their travels), one country at a time, plus an ongoing collection of objects from past countries, Kiosk is a pure shopping adventure. Right now, the spotlight is on Finland and we want one of everything. And, now we really want to go to Finland. But until then, you can find us, as well as limited edition objects that you can't find anywhere else in the United States, at Kiosk. NEW! We wanna know what you think, so we've added comments to The DailyBuss. Love Kiosk as much as we do? Where's your fave spot to shop for gifts? Which country's design aesthetic do you love most? Haute Shop of the Week: Kristen McCloud
Whenever we feel our outfit is blah, all we have to do is add a pair of Kristen McCloud's drapey, glam earrings for instant ohlala. Meticulously handcrafted with a keen scientific eye in sophisticated color combinations (think smokey topaz and coral, amethyst and dark fresh water pearls), we could easily spend on Kristen McCloud earrings what Carrie Bradshaw did on shoes. Luckily, Kristen McCloud loves BussBuss as much as we love her and is offering 20% off with code buss20 at checkout through October 31, 2007. Take a peek at Kristen McCloud. |

Favorite Things: Dolce Vita Ludlow
We literally spend our days (and nights) scoping out pretty, clever things to share with our readers. And we're often asked which things are our favorites. So it only made sense for us to share them in our new feature: Favorite Things. First up, the only shoes we've ever had a love affair with, the Dolce Vita Ludlow. Le sigh. To find a pair of shoes that go with nearly everything (dresses, pants, shorts) and that are so comfy from the get-go (there's literally no break-in period, we've walked miles all over Manhattan and San Francisco in these), is no east feat. Feet. You get le drift. But we found it all in the Ludlow. Like flats, but with a little lift, these Audrey-esque skimmers are for picky feet and for the girl on the go. We have them in putty (they go with everything and the nude hue helps elongate your gams), but we'll be scooping them up in black, too. And perhaps crimson. And chocolate. Buy them, and get free overnight shipping and free return shipping, at Secret Scoop: The Dolce Vita Ludlow runs about a half size big and the leather stretches a little, so if you're normally an 8, go for the 7.5. |

We've Got The Beat
If we had to choose three words to describe what BussBuss is all about, we'd go with: pretty, clever, things. We like the pretty, we like the clever and we love things (obviously). And we heart when they all come together. Which is why we're loving The New College Beat. A small circulation, self-published work of minority interest, made by graphic designer Ryan Waller as a way to afford tuition at Yale grad school, you can nab this fab tee and do good by helping pay for Waller's education at the same time (clever). There are 1,000 New College Packs available. Packs include The New College Beat, The New College t-shirt and The New College poster. If Waller were to sell each one, that would cover one year of tuition. As Waller points out: "Of course, that doesn't take into account a number of other factors, but I am going to the art part of the school, not the math part. Please feel free to purchase everything." Go on and say "Yeah" to The New College Beat.

Go Pink at The Spoon Sisters
One of our favorite gift shops, The Spoon Sisters, has partnered with Susan G. Komen for the Cure for the month of October to support breast cancer awareness and research, with 10% of the retail sales of Pink Ribbon products going to the cause. Why not shop early for a few Christmas gifts and do good at the same time? We're loving the sweet pink melamine mini colander, the designer dish gloves and the pink ice cream spoons. Plus, when you shop online, The Spoon Sisters will give $5 off orders of $40 or more with code CURE2007 at checkout through November 15, 2007. Shop pink at The Spoon Sisters. |

Paper People
Though we live in a digital world here at BussBuss, we are undoubtedly paper people. We lust for all the gorgeous wallpapered walls we see in Domino, Blueprint and Elle Decor each month. But what's a girl living in a rental to do? Aside from lining our drawers with pretty paper (which we highly recommend for glamming up your space), we're adding instant color, pattern, texture and art to our rooms by framing our favorite sheets of paper. Much more affordable (about $3-$10 per sheet), and way more temporary (which is so important as our tastes change faster than Paris goes through boyfriends), you can find rainbows of gorgeous options at Paper Source (we're especially fond of the Japanese prints). Take a peek for yourself here at Paper Source. |

Haute Shop of the Week: Factory People
We've long loved Austin-based Factory People for its hip mix of hard-to-find cult designers and lines like Sue Stemp and McQ by Alexander McQueen, among others. And we especially love that right now everything on FactoryPeople.com is at least 25% off. We're in love with Khoon Hooi's silk pleated dress (originally $200, now $50) and chiffon gathered top (originally $132, now $33). Plus, because Factory People loves BussBuss too, they're giving all of us an additional 10% off. Simply type code Fall07 at checkout through October 31, 2007. Take a peek at Factory People. |

We found cute Stella McCartney pants (originally $248, now $50), Marc Jacobs ballet flats (originally $215, now $88) and Costume National heels (originally $205, now $82). We also fell hard for all the cute See by Chloe dresses (it's never too early to prepare for those holiday soirees). Take a peek at Yoox. |

Right Said Fred
Life's full of ups and downs, so when we're feeling down and want an insta-lift, we can always count on Fred Flare for retail therapy. Full of the quirky, silly, happy, sweet, retro and insanely affordable, Fred Flare is all about having fun and never growing up. And, in their own words, they have totes great gifts too! Currently on our wishlist? Scented lollipop earrings, classic pink-wheeled roller skates, a cozy pony scarf, the Holly Golightly sleep mask and a gemstone newsboy cap, cuz a girl can never have too many jewels. We also love the kawaii cute grocery totes, which prove that going green doesn't have to mean boring. And, if everyone you know seems to have a baby and people won't stop asking when you're going to have one, simply wear the hilarious Paul Frank baby on board tee. Take a peek, and prepare to smile, at Fred Flare. |

Bag Love. Big Bargains.
While doing research for our Fall Handbag Guide launching in a few weeks (tough job, we know), we came across some fab finds that we just had to share now. All under $60. Warm fuzzies. Available in royal purple, hunter and chocolate, we love the roomy Buckle Messenger Bag and can't believe it's less than $50. We also think the darling Gabrielle Quilted Clutch is a steal for under $18. Even Coco couldn't resist a deal that good. Also on our list and for a steal? The No. 252 Diamond Quilted Tote, the Kisslock Quilted Wallet in hot pink, the cute and convenient Saddle Belt Bag and the Turnlock Doctor Bag in hunter and black. Take a peek here at Urban Outfitters. |

On a recent perusal of Haute Shop kim&maki, one of our favorite new online jewelry boutiques, we discovered these gorgeous art deco-inspired pieces by Medecine Douce. Chic and shiny black and ivory lacquer mix with drapey chains and faux pearls, making our hearts skip a beat. Swoon. Why not treat yourself to a holiday gift (it is Columbus Day after all), right here at kim&maki. |
