Haute Shop of the Week: Factory People

We've long loved Austin-based Factory People for its hip mix of hard-to-find cult designers and lines like Sue Stemp and McQ by Alexander McQueen, among others.

And we especially love that right now everything on FactoryPeople.com is at least 25% off.

We're in love with Khoon Hooi's silk pleated dress (originally $200, now $50) and chiffon gathered top (originally $132, now $33).

Plus, because Factory People loves BussBuss too, they're giving all of us an additional 10% off. Simply type code Fall07 at checkout through October 31, 2007.

Take a peek at Factory People.

Haute Shop of the Week: Sodafine

Erin Weckerle, owner of Sodafine and designer of Purldrop, helped put the underground DIY movement on the map. And she's been pioneering hip, handmade style ever since.

Her artistic and fashion-forward taste is evident in the lines she carries: shoes by Chie Mihara and Rosa Mosa, dresses by She-Bible and Laurel Wells, recycled rings by Michelle Kendrick, bags by Ashley Watson and Valhalla, to name a few faves.

Specializing in innovative and unique handmade clothing, bags, jewelry, shoes and cool gift items too (we love the 18-month planner), with a growing emphasis on eco-chic finds, Sodafine is one of Brooklyn's hippest boutiques.

But a girl need not live in Brooklyn to take advantage of Erin's great eye.

You can shop online right here at Sodafine.

P.S. Sodafine loves BussBuss too and is offering 20% off through October 1, 2007. Simply enter BUSSBUSS20 in the comments section during checkout to receive the discount.

Haute Shop of the Week: Kim&Maki

The beauty of fashion and online shopping is that there's always something new to discover. But sometimes a girl feels like she's seen it all. Especially when it comes to jewelry.

Which is why we were happily, and admittedly surprisingly, wowed by the newest and coolest jewelry boutique on the block, Kim&Maki.

Carrying lots of up-and-coming jewelry designers from Paris to Tokyo to New York and everywhere in between, it's a new eye-candyland and we're ready to play.

We especially love the tough-luxe vibe of Orner and also fell for Marjorie Victor's organic and artistic pieces, as well as the vintage-inspired jewelry by Medecine Douce and the crafty-cool of Mur.

Discover your fave designers and pieces, including rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, brooches and hairpins, here at Kim&Maki.

P.S. Kim&Maki loves us too and is giving BussBuss readers an exclusive 30% off with code BUSSKM30 at checkout through September 24, 2007.

Haute Shop of the Week: Intuition

Those who have picked up even just one copy of US Weekly over the past three years are well aware that celebrities love shopping at Intuition. But a girl need not live in the 90210 or be a recovering anything to shop at the fun and trendy boutique.

Intuition, run by the sweet, lovely and very smart Jaye Hersh, was started as a way to pay for her children's tuition (hence the name -- see, clever). Mission accomplished, but we're reaping the rewards too.

Where else can you find trendy up-and-coming brands and designers like Primp, the latest Frye boots, Dittos denim, cheeky t-shirts and gifts for your mom and BFF, too? No wonder it's described as a general store for fashionistas.

The best part? Shopping Intuition online means no paparazzi (whew!), so you can leave those oversized shades in your pretty little bag where they belong.

Shop the latest must-haves and feel like the style star you are here at Intuition.

P.S. Intuition loves BussBuss too and is offering an exclusive 20% off with code BUSSLOVESUS at checkout through September 17, 2007.

Haute Shop of the Week: The Spoon Sisters

The Spoon Sisters is perhaps our favorite gift shop of all time.

Selling many of our fave products, style solutions and innovations, such as the Purseket, the Doorganizer, GalPals, Egglings, the Message Bean, Thumb Thing, the Takeout Menu Organizer, the DaysAgo Digital Counter, the Rear-View Computer Mirror, the Foot Petals Stiletto Kit, ABC Gingerbread Cookie Cutters and just about every clever product you've ever wanted for yourself or your loved ones, The Spoon Sisters is more a celebration of innovation and cottage industry than it is about selling products.

Fortunately, The Spoon Sisters love BussBuss just as much as we adore them and are offering an exclusive 20% off to BussBuss readers with code bussbuss at checkout through August 20, 2007.

So stock up on Christmas, baby, hostess and birthday gifts (um, for yourself of course), and save here at The Spoon Sisters.

P.S. We'd like to send a huge thank you to everyone who has taken our Summer Survey. If we learned one thing so far, it's that you want more coupon codes and unique finds (see above) and we're working hard to keep them coming!

Haven't taken it yet? Don't be shy. Click here to tell us all about YOU!

Haute Shop of the Week: Zappos

We loved the original Zappos, the shoe site that also sold some handbags and became popular for their fab shipping and return policy: free shipping and free return shipping for 365 days.

But now we're over the moon. Why? Zappos now sells clothing too, including swimsuits. And yes, that same shipping and return policy applies. In fact, they now offer free overnight shipping on everything (seriously).

You know how we feel about instant gratification and it doesn't get more instant in the world of online shopping than free overnight shipping.

But we're most grateful that we never again have to face those horrid dressing room lights. There is a shopping god.

We're also loving Zappos Couture, which offers higher-end bags, shoes, accessories and clothing from Goldenbleu, Hollywould, Kate Spade, Cole Haan, Marc Jacobs, Sigerson Morrison, Costume National y muchas mas.

Indulge in free overnight shipping, and the fabulousness that is the future of online shopping, right here at Zappos.

Haute Shop of the Week: Hella Good

You may remember Hella Good as a fun bath and body shop, but they've just relaunched into a full gift boutique. And it's good. Hella good.

While you can still beautify (simply visit the nest section), now you'll also find clothing, jewelry, accessories, paper, home goodies and even gifts for guys and babies too.

What we're loving? The reversible owl pinafore for baby and the irresistible Kokeshee cell phone/MP3 pouches handcrafted by Fambee in Texas.

We're also crushing on the jewelry section, where we spotted clever and sweet personalized carved tree pendants handcrafted by Julie*Anne Handmade Goods in New York (what a fab idea!) and cool resin chair earrings.

Explore all the incredible goodies and irresistible surprises here at Hella Good.

P.S. Hella Good hearts BussBuss too and is offering a free gift with purchase (these hilarious bookplates) when you enter code bussbuss at checkout.

P.P.S. And, on orders of $30+, you'll also receive a free gift -- these fab coasters (while supplies last)!

Haute Shop of the Week: Misamu

Ever wonder what the Irish are into in terms of fashion? Head to Misamu, Ireland's first online fashion boutique aimed at fashion-conscious shoppers looking for a chic alternative to the High Street.

Misamu serves up fashionista faves like Twinkle by Wenlan, Rachel Pally, Mint, Tracy Reese, Development, Pyrus and the list goes on. We personally want to take home every dress on the site. And because they ship to the US, we think we just might.

Plus, Misamu loves BussBuss too and is offering 15% off with code bussbuss at checkout! The code is only valid on non-sale items, but be sure to browse the sale section too (up to 70% off!) because you'll find loads of great deals.

Click to shop Misamu now!

Haute Shop of the Week: Net-a-Porter

We love entrepreneurs, especially ones who fill a niche and are passionate about what they're doing, whether it's the salacious Perez Hilton or the clever Sarah Blakely of Spanx fame.

Which is exactly what chic entrepreneuress Natalie Massenet did (see her write-up in this month's Vogue July issue). As the founder of Net-a-porter (a cheeky play on pret-a-porter), she serves up delicious doses of luxury designer goodies that you can't find anywhere else online.

Think clothing, bags, shoes and accessories by Chloe, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Oscar de la Renta, 3.1. Phillip Lim, Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors and Stella McCartney, to namedrop a few.

We love scouring the sale section, where we're currently drooling over these glam Miu Miu ballerina flats and pintuck dress (both half off!).

If you're a luxe-loving designer darling, find your faves by shopping Net-a-porter.

P.S. Wonder what happened to Girlshop? They closed their doors last month, but never fear, Net-a-porter purchased Girlshops's customer list and is offering their higher-end wares to Girlshop refugees.

Haute Shop of the Week: Modishoppe

In celebration of independent design and the success of her indie shopping blog Modish, Jen Coray opened the virtual doors to Modishoppe in April 2007.

Since, she's been featuring a coolly edited collection of handmade goods that span from handbags, hoodies and jewelry to paper, home and gifts. It's like shopping Etsy but with a really in-the-know friend (i.e. her keen eye for hip handcrafted treasures does the digging for you).

We're especially fond of the animal-laden accessories, such as the birdie keychains by Kwoozy and the elephant wristlets by Blissful. But we're not all about fauna, we need our flora fix too. Enter Brooke Medlin's rose-shaped earrings.

Both the beauty and the curse of Modishoppe is that Coray only carries a few (sometimes only one) of each item, so if you see something you love, scoop it up fast before it's gone forever. The upside? No fear of ever having the same thing as anyone else and a constantly changing collection.

Scope out all the current treasures here at Modishoppe.

P.S. Modishoppe loves BussBuss too and is offering 10% off with code bussmod at checkout exclusively to our readers!

Haute Shop of the Week: Cut + Paste

As one of the first independent online shops on the block, Jenny Kwok's Cut + Paste has been helping pave the way for emerging designers and crafters since 2002 with its well-curated collection of handmade clothing, jewelry, accessories, paper products and more.

And it's only gotten better over the years, serving up gigantic doses of hipness and featuring over 300 designers along the way. The best part is knowing you'll never be wearing the same thing (or giving the same gift) as someone else when you shop at Cut + Paste.

If absolutely forced to pick favorites (it's like choosing your fave offspring), we'd point to Erica Weiner's cicada earrings, smil's love doll brooch, Desira Pesta's diamond print tunic, and pinecone & chickadee's cards.

But we suggest you set aside a few minutes (okay, hours... okay, days) to drool over all the Partners in Craft and find your own faves right here at Cut + Paste.

Haute Shop of the Week: Etsy

{Dying to see the Haute Shop of the Week? Let's get it on, style lover!}

We must confess, BussBuss has quite the addictive personality (very La Lohan of us, we know). In fact, we've considered checking into rehab on more than one occasion for our addiction to milkshakes, vintage dresses and cupcakes, to confess a few.

But our latest obsession these days has been over the indie goodness that is Etsy. In case you've been shopping under a rock for the past year or two, Etsy is the spot to find handmade clothing, accessories, home goodies and gifts direct from the artists, crafters and designers themselves (from all over the world).

Think of it as a hipster Ebay, minus the stress of bidding. The best part? Everything is surprisingly affordable (no retail markup rocks!) and you can bookmark your favorite sellers and then browse by who their fave sellers are too. It's never-ending indie awesomeness.

Discover your faves, and prepare to join us in rehab, here at Etsy.
