June 20, 2007 : Love, Me
|
Wedding season is in full swing and we can think of no bigger name in the wedding industry than Mindy Weiss. The 'it' celebrity wedding and party planner has lavished her chic taste on Jessica and Nick, Gwen and Gavin, Trista and Ryan and Charlie and Denise, to namedrop a few. And while not all the marriages have lasted, the stylish memories live on forever.
And now, with the opening of her new online bridal boutique and gift shop, even those of us not trailed by paparazzi can get our French-manicured hands on glam gifts, accessories, favors and more (even honeymoon and baby gifts too).
Imagine Plum Party meets Spoon Sisters with a sprinkle of girly sweetness thrown in for good measure. Love, Me serves up everything from hip flasks to vintage travel train cases to rhinestone and croc domino sets, lollypop favors, martini shakers and panties of the week.
Explore and find eternal fabulousness when you shop Love, Me.

June 15, 2007 : Haute Shop of the Week: Etsy
|
{Dying to see the Haute Shop of the Week? Let's get it on, style lover!}
We must confess, BussBuss has quite the addictive personality (very La Lohan of us, we know). In fact, we've considered checking into rehab on more than one occasion for our addiction to milkshakes, vintage dresses and cupcakes, to confess a few.
But our latest obsession these days has been over the indie goodness that is Etsy. In case you've been shopping under a rock for the past year or two, Etsy is the spot to find handmade clothing, accessories, home goodies and gifts direct from the artists, crafters and designers themselves (from all over the world).
Think of it as a hipster Ebay, minus the stress of bidding. The best part? Everything is surprisingly affordable (no retail markup rocks!) and you can bookmark your favorite sellers and then browse by who their fave sellers are too. It's never-ending indie awesomeness.
Discover your faves, and prepare to join us in rehab, here at Etsy.

November 27, 2006 : Baby Love
|
We must admit that before we actually had a super-close friend have a baby, the little things held no interest for us. Sure, they were cute, but so what? But now, especially after spending mucho tiempo with said adorable baby over T-day, we're gaga -- and finally get why seemingly trivial things are such big deals.
If you're in need of the perfect present for new parents, The First 1000 Days journal by Nikki McClure will make you – and them—happy. Filled with beautiful cut-paper illustrations, with lots of room to chronicle baby's first big events, you can pick up a baby journal right here at Rare Device.

November 09, 2006 : Rockett St George
|
Recently we got a note from our friends across the pond letting us know they had opened up a brilliant new online gift shop featuring accessories, home goodies and more from some of the UK's freshest talent. At first click, we were in love. Kind of like the Mighty Flirt of the UK, the shop specializes in up-and-coming British-based designers. We're fawning over all the gorgeous prints-intense pieces like the bags, pillows and robes.
Find gifts for guys, kids, your home and, always most importantly, YOU, right here at the scrumptious Rockett St George (and yes, they ship to the US).

October 30, 2006 : Anthro Obsession
|
We must admit we have a love/kinda-like relationship with Anthropologie. Sometimes we just can't get enough and others times it just feels like too much of the same (that unerring consistency being the reason for their success and appeal we know). Well, after getting their holiday catalog in the mail the other day, we are once again completely smitten. Filled with so many fabulous gifts, including monogrammed porcelain mugs, unbelievably adorable ornaments and stuffed toys, not to mention knit votives and candlesticks, we are in full-on lust mode.
Scope out the loot and find gifts for you and those you love right here at Anthropologie.

October 20, 2006 : Lucky Dog Designs
|
When we first visited Lucky Dog Designs, we were expecting to find a bevy of goodies for our BFFs – well, our imaginary four-legged friends anyway. But we were just as happy and surprised to find an adorable baby boutique instead – two legs sometimes are as good as four after all.
Darling and funky prints grace diaper bags, toddler aprons, bibs, blankies and burp cloths, making it super easy for us to nab unique gifts for all the little ones in our lives. Plus, 20% of sales in October will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, so we can't resist spoiling the tots and doing good at the same time. If you can't resist either, shop Lucky Dog Designs right here.

August 16, 2006 : Loving Luna Lou
|
Seems like everyone we know is popping out babies left and right: Katie, Angelina, Gwyneth, Heidi, all of our other imaginary friends. What's a girl to get those babies for their first, second or third birthdays? How about the most adorable pop-art toddler blankies in the world? The new line of super soft Luna Lou blankets feature scrumptious cupcakes with "I Dream of Cupcakes" scrawled along the border and retro owls that say "Up All Night, Silly All Day." But the baby-less and young-at-heart can totally use them too. Rumor is Lisa Loeb even has one on the back of her couch (hint: they make cute wall hangings too and we're totally taking one on our next plane ride).
Scope them out here at Luna Lou. Plus enter 'BUSS BUSS' in the "where did you hear about us?" box at checkout and score a free book tote too (a $14.50 value). Offer expires 9/30/06.

May 17, 2006 : Snoogle This
|
Thanks to two very special friends who are preggers, BussBuss has recently learned of the wonder that is Snoogle. Sure, this can't-sleep-without-it pillow is meant for those with buns in their ovens, but a very non-prego BussBuss enjoys it all the same. What is it? A big body pillow that supports your back and belly during pregnancy (and for those of us who aren't pregnant, it somehow aligns all of our parts perfectly for slumber – so much so that an unnamed husband has threatened to banish it from bed as he's felt replaced by it – sorry sucka!). Want to destroy your relationship too, er, we mean, want to sleep soundly too? Pick up a Snoogle here. It also makes a great gift for the lounger in your life and can be used in several different positions (we think it's swell for reading in bed and have heard reports of hubbies stealing them from their wives because they're just so darn comfy).

March 07, 2006 : Baby Mama
|
Since BussBuss is going to be an aunt very soon and is best buds with someone about to have not one, but two babies, we've recently started thinking a lot about baby stuff. To be honest, we were kind of bored by the whole idea before – until those nearest and dearest to us started cooking buns in their own ovens that is. Don't get us wrong, there is a ton of yawn-inducing baby and maternity gear out there, so we set out to find stuff for lil ones, and the haute mamas who are giving them life, that would be worthy of haute status. If you know someone with a haute baby on the way, or are a haute mama yourself, check out our Baby Love roundup on Haute Shops, where you'll find darling finds like this Chick baby bib at Simply Sarah Shaw, this One Little Monkey baby blanket, this NakedPaint Belly Butter at Essenceology and this cool baby bag at Calliope Boutique. Plus, score exclusive discount codes too. Click here to see all the Haute Baby stuff now!
