April 18, 2008 : Swim Fan: Sweet & Chic One-Piece Bathing Suits Under $50
|
Finding a cute and chic one-piece bathing suit that doesn't cost $500 is a challenge these days -- which is beyond ridic.
Which is why we were so happy to see Delia's latest swimsuit offerings. All around $50 or less, if you're looking for cute, youthful styles without breaking the bank, we've found them here.
Our more petite editors in the office were happy to see many swimsuits with removable soft cups, which add a little more shape on top – we think all suits should have them so we don't have to suffer yet another summer of Nipplegate.
Sizes run true to size and are also available in longer torso, so those with both Rachel Bilson and Mischa Barton bods should be satisfied.
Plus, right now save with these coupon code promos by clicking on the links below:

August 03, 2007 : Haute Shop of the Week: Zappos
|
We loved the original Zappos, the shoe site that also sold some handbags and became popular for their fab shipping and return policy: free shipping and free return shipping for 365 days.
But now we're over the moon. Why? Zappos now sells clothing too, including swimsuits. And yes, that same shipping and return policy applies. In fact, they now offer free overnight shipping on everything (seriously).
You know how we feel about instant gratification and it doesn't get more instant in the world of online shopping than free overnight shipping.
But we're most grateful that we never again have to face those horrid dressing room lights. There is a shopping god.
We're also loving Zappos Couture, which offers higher-end bags, shoes, accessories and clothing from Goldenbleu, Hollywould, Kate Spade, Cole Haan, Marc Jacobs, Sigerson Morrison, Costume National y muchas mas.
Indulge in free overnight shipping, and the fabulousness that is the future of online shopping, right here at Zappos.

May 30, 2007 : Suit Up and Sale Away
|
'Tis the season for itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikinis, so we're relived that one-pieces are now the new two-pieces, at least according to every major fashion magazine that exists. Chic, retro and sporty-sweet, we really love the Marilyn-style Damsel suit from Urban Outfitters.
Of course, if you're a bikini devotee and they're more flattering to your frame, more power to you. If we could, we certainly would prance around the beach this summer in the ruffle-trimmed Billabong Polka Dot Sailor Bikini, which happens to be on sale. Or, perhaps we'd get all Project Runway and make our own with Blueprint.
Either way, be sure to scope out all of the chic pieces right here at Urban Outfitters.
P.S. Urban Outfitters is having a huge sale and you can now take an additional 10% off all sale items with code AWESOMER through June 3, 2007, midnight EST.

January 26, 2007 : Undercover Lover
|
It's what's on the inside that counts. And when it comes to scratchy winter sweaters and uncomfy stiff suits, that couldn’t be truer. Eliminate the problem, and save on dry cleaning bills while you're at it, with the ultimate innerwear, Autrepeau. Made of nylon and spandex, the super thin and lightweight camis, tanks, crewnecks, turtlenecks and pant liners act as a second skin and will soon become your favorite wardrobe staple.
To boot, all of the tops are cut long enough to wear with your low-rise bottoms without popping out, and help to smooth out your whole look, which is, let's face it, priceless. Pick up your essential underthings right here at Autrepeau.

January 18, 2007 : Berry Cute
|
Since most of the country, including sunnylicious California, is frozen over, we're dreaming of our winter escape. Last year we jetted off to the Virgin Islands and Vieques. This year, we're thinking a little Hawaii action may be in order – or perhaps we'll just head to the roof with some chick lit and a mudslide (what's the difference really?).
Either way, we'll be soaking up the sun in one of the cute new swimsuits from Delias. We think the super girly strawberry and gingham numbers are sweet and the prices are just right for our fickle tastes. Plus, get free shipping on orders of $75+ with code DTAAFF at checkout through 2/2/07.

October 26, 2006 : Feel Your Boobies
|
We must admit, as ladies under the age of 30, we don't exactly always tune in when we hear "self-breast exam." It sounds too clinical and doesn't seem to apply to us – yet. Which is exactly why we love Feel Your Boobies.
Started by Leigh Hurst, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the tender age of 33 (she found the lump herself while feeling her boobies), the goal is to create cool products (think cute tees, tanks belts, stationery, even baby onesies) to raise awareness and educate women, primarily those under 40, by creating a dialogue and getting people talking about breast cancer and self-breast exams.
We like the more upscale boobies couture line that includes limited edition items available now through the end of the year (they make great gifts). Plus, 25% of FYB's net proceeds will be donated to the Young Survival Coalition. So go on and do good by shopping Feel Your Boobies right here.

September 08, 2006 : Body Linens
|
We get a lot of swag and samples to test out here at BussBuss, but we haven't been this excited about a product in ages. Body Linens by Thread Count is such a simple idea, but such a fantastic one and started with the question, "Why buy 500 thread count sheets when you don't have 500 thread count pajamas?"
Founder and designer Jeena Hunget spent lots of quality time perfecting the answer and the result is THE most comfy and adorable pajamas we've ever had the pleasure of rolling around in. And let's just say we're a little hard to please when it comes to thread count. At once soft and crisp, The Nightie is our fave piece and can easily be worn as a dress for day. Featuring adjustable straps, sweet pink ruffles and no tags, chances are you'll want to wear it all day too, so you're in luck.
Check out the entire line of luxe jammies in 300, 500 and 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen, which makes the perfect gift for girls and guys, right here at Body Linens.

July 31, 2006 : Stay Sweet
|
We just returned from super sizzling Texas back to even hotter New York, where tomorrow's temps in the city are expected to feel like 107 degrees. Yikes! And even though the department stores are already flaunting their fall wares, we all know we've got plenty of summer left. To beat the heat, we're yearning to flounce around in a girly-glam swimsuit like this lollypop-sweet one by Juicy Couture. The ruffles and retro edge make it especially, um, special. Keep cool in sweet style right here at Nordy's.

July 05, 2006 : Strapping Young Women
|
We get extra excited around here when clever gals invent ingenious style solutions, especially in the bra department (remember the wonder that is The Strapper?). So when the lovelies who are StrapCouture sent us their luxury bra straps we about flipped. The decorative straps, which range from glam gold chains to delicate faux pearls, hook right into your strapless bra and adjust to fit a variety of sizes, providing those of us who hate to wear strapless bras with a better alternative. Rawk the stylish straps under a tank or flaunt them in full view with your fave dress -- they're perfect for the warm summer months and add oomph (and support too) to any ensemble. Shop the entire line here at StrapCouture.

May 02, 2006 : Your Cup Don't Runneth Over
|
Those of us who are less endowed in the tatas department will go gaga for darling petite lingerie boutique Lula Lu. Carrying lingerie solely for bra sizes 30AA to 38A and dress sizes 0-6, owner Ellen Shing (a 36A herself) tests out each piece and then stocks the shop with the best underthings by trendy well-known brands like Eberjey and up-and-comers such as French Kiss. We love the sweet and sexy bras, panties, camis and jammies and lurve the concept even more – it's nice that things are getting more niche and less mass (department stores could learn a lil sumpin' sumpin' from pioneers like Shing). Support your bust while supporting small business at Lula Lu.

April 27, 2006 : Suit Yourself
|
We have grand dreams of saying bubye to our loft space this summer and heading for the rooftop instead, where, thanks to technology (re: laptops, satellite wireless cards, cell phones, iPods), we'll work while lounging in our swimsuits, soaking up the city sun, and being served fruity drinks by eager eastside hipster boys. Um, that just might happen actually, minus the hipster boys that is, unless there are any takers out there? Anyone? But we'd still want to look vaguely professional, which is where this elegant and sexy cutaway swimsuit by Michael Kors comes into play. Just the right amount of skin and style, it too can be yours for less than a Benjamin (which, let's face it ladies, has actually become a good deal – sad but true) at Nordy's.

February 14, 2005 : Crack Kills
|
How low can you go? Apparently much lower now with new Backless Lingerie. Perplexed? So were we. The idea is that since jeans (and evening dresses) are being cut lower and lower, and the showing thong is so passé, a girl needs a new solution. So the Aussie's came up with Backless Lingerie, an invisible panty whose straps sit snugly around the upper thigh instead of the waist, eliminating the need for an uncomfy and revealing g-string and vanishing panty lines. Odd for sure, but BussBuss can't help but wonder if this will be the new standard in panties in five years (gasp!). If you're game for trying new things, you can snag a pair for $14.95-$18.95 here.
Happy Valentine's Day!

October 06, 2004 : The Beet Is On
|
She's got legs and she knows how to use them. Better yet, she knows how to dress them. Say bubye to the bare legs of summer and hello to fall's sexiest accessory: tights! There's nothing schoolgirl about these fan-patterned ones in a beet hue. Mama always said to eat your beets, now we're saying to wear them. Scoop up a pair, in beet or black, for $12.50 at bananarepublic.com.

August 03, 2004 : Vintage-Flavored Lingerie
|
Leave it to none other than Jenny from the Block to launch her own lingerie line. Don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got, she's just a designer/singer/actress/diva from the block. And again, she's done a really good job -- damn you JLo! We love the vintage look of the chiffon embroidery triangle bralette ($32) and the darling matching retro hipster panties ($16), available in baby blue, pink and ivory, at barenecessities.com. And right now, you can score free shipping, too. There's no guarantee that these panties will make your booty as voluptuous as Mrs. Marc Anthony's, but they couldn't hurt.

July 01, 2004 : Swim Fan
|
The worst part of summer: bathing suit shopping! Most of the cute suits in the shops are cut for model-perfect bods, not the average girl, and surely not one who wants to actually go in the water. And all of the one-pieces are cut for grannies -- yawn! Plus, if you do find something that fits and that you actually like, it's probably at least $100. Which is where online shopping can come in. Bluefly.com has some really cute, well-cut suits, like this Ralph Lauren pink bikini for $40.76 and this Nautica orange tank for $59.46. The best part? All orders are shipped with a pre-paid return label, so if something doesn't fit, you can send it back for free. That beats department store fluorescent lighting any day. And if you spend $100 or more, you can get free shipping when you enter code AFFSUMFS7 at checkout.

April 02, 2004 : The Weekend Buss: Bug Off
|
Due to a horrendously evil stomach bug that BussBuss has contracted, it cannot bear to consider a Flavor of the Week or anything flavorful for that matter. Sad, we know. Instead, please accept this Weekend Buss replacement -- a cozy Victoria's Secret sleepshirt. Cuz all BussBuss wants to do is curl up and die, er, we mean sleep…forever. Kidding! Not funny. Did we also mention that BussBuss is heavily medicated right now? But we digress, score the grey and pink sleepshirt for $19 at victoriassecret.com.

|
If you're on the prowl for a new cuddly, snuggly robe, you're in the right place. The Bath Robe Shop carries a huge and adorable variety, ranging from cutsie flannel, spa-like terrycloth and elegant silk. We like the girly chenile ones by Canyon Group, particularly the Cowgirl, Think Pink, Precious Puppy, and Paris. Prices range from about $50-$150 at the completely lounge-worthy bathrobeshoppe.com.
