My favorite way to unwind is reading a book infront of the fire with a glass of red-wine in my hand. Sadly after a while the bottle is empty and the words don’t make sense anymore, but at least I am warm and happy!

I unwind by sitting with a nice cup of coffee and traveling down the many lanes of memories that my 74 years have afforded me. The sad or bad memories take on a patina of acceptance as time has erased the sharp corners and made them a part of the mosaic that is my life. The good memories are treasures framed in golden stitches and the everyday muddle is the condiments of a life, hopefully well lived, holding it all together.

Longtime subscriber and how to unwind…hmmm…since i don’t get to do it often, i try to soak it in when i do – I would say drinking a warm cup of tea or yummy hot cocoa, snuggling under a blanket, either reading to my boys, reading for myself, or watching Real Housewives on DVR ;)

Good book. Glass of wine. And now that it’s spring, sitting in an Adirondack chair in the garden, listening to the birds and ….lawn mowers.

My hubbie is a student so we enjoy the simple pleasures. After a long week at work, I unwind with my Saturday morning ritual. I grab a cup o’ joe at my favorite cafe (local and organic coffee!) and spend the morning at the farmers’ market. The colors of the fresh fruits, veggies, flowers; meeting local artisans; sounds of homegrown music–all of these things rejuvenate me for the week to come…

My favorite way to unwind is to grab a good book (maybe a well-read Carl Hiassen), pour a generous glass of wine and read – it could be the bath, the beach, the woods, or the living room couch – just give me some undisturbed quiet time!

twitter follower (@sweepstaking), I seriously can’t unwind unless on vacation, away from work. I win all my trips, usually 2-3 a year, like soon I’ll be heading to Thailand, as soon as the contest sponsor and I agree that the political unrest is over. In November it was Hawaii, relaxing on the beaches courtesy of a Mariott sweepstakes win, and last May it was Myrtle Beach for four days of golfing from golfpactravel.com…

Follow on Twitter (@kgereg) & subscrber too. To unwind, I head to one of the many beaches near my home…with my iPod and reading material. Sunny, balmy days are the best because for some reason, it’s easier for me to catch a nap.

Everyone needs to have some regular method of relaxing that works for them. I unwind by settling down in the bedroom with a good book at the end of the day.
