I’m also excited to watch the SAG red carpet and hope to hit the beach — it’s supposed to be in the 80s here in LA this weekend!

One of the spring trends I’m most looking forward to is the resurgence of candy colors, especially mint. Refreshing yet sweet and sophisticated all at once, I’m feeling very minty fresh. Style-spotting at STK

Holiday party season is in full swing and here in the land of endless red carpets and dizzying flashbulbs, it’s in major overdrive. Before the season gets away from us, I thought it might be fun to share a few party pics from some recent events I’ve had the pleasure of attending, starting with the Michelle Jonas party at STK in LA.

I joined my friend Sydne Summer of Think Thru Fashion for spicy martinis, mini-burgers, fab fries, and travel-friendly fashion at Beverly Hills steakhouse STK. I had never been, so had to laugh when I walked in and realized my ensemble matched the black-and-white decor of the restaurant (my fave combo, as you know, and perhaps the reason I have “crazy eyes” in these photos…).

Or, maybe these spicy cocktails are the reason! The space was super-chic, so when my parents came for Thanksgiving and wanted to treat us to a nice dinner out, we chose STK (thanks, Mom and Dad!).  It was really good (and compared to most other LA steakhouses, actually pretty reasonable). I’d definitely recommend it. The filet literally melts in your mouth and the sweet corn pudding is dee-vine.

Next, we made our way over to BCBG on Robertson for their holiday event, which is where I spotted this darling yellow dress. Wouldn’t it be such a fun alternative the the normal holiday party frock? It’s now on my wishlist!

We refueled with sweet macarons from Jin Patisserie…

And talked shop with my friend Alice from BCBG, who glittered in gold.

Finally, we teetered down Robertson to the launch party of Erinn V Maison, the latest addition to LA’s design and decor scene. I fawned over — surprise! — this black-and-white beauty.

Some gorgeous leading ladies were in attendance (Garcelle Beauvais and Jamie Pressly, as seen here with designer Erinn Valencich), but I must admit I was too busy fawning over the decor to notice!

Today is 11.11.11, my darlings. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m traveling, or if it’s because today is my brother-in-law’s birthday (happy birthday, Nick!), or if it’s because holiday decorations are adding a festive touch to San Francisco’s adorable shops, but today does feel a little more special. A bit magical, if you will. Today seems like a good day to make a wish, a big wish. What will you be wishing for, my dears?
