Lauren Moffatt’s collections are always adorable in a nostalgic kind of way. So it’s only fitting that her Fall 2012 presentation was held in a school. The theme: The School for Wayward Girls. Sign me up!

Sometimes a girl just wants to be bad, daaahling.

And sometimes a girl just wants one of each coat! (Can’t you see Alexa Chung in this collection?)
What do you think of Lauren Moffatt’s Fall 2012 collection? Are you ready to be sent to the School for Wayward Girls?

Kate Spade always charms and delights and such was the case with their Fall 2012 collection which featured playful details like polka-dot nails (and bags and coats!), glittering heels, and poppy brights.

Brad Goreski styled the show and Garance Dore lent her illustrations to the decor. Her prints can also be seen on some pieces of the collection. A fab collab, indeed!
What do you think? Are you charmed by Kate Spade’s Fall 2012 collection, too?

Truth be told, the runways hadn’t felt very inspiring, colorful or fresh– that is until Kelly Wearstler’s punchy Fall 2012 presentation! Who could make ’80s acid wash chic? Kelly, that’s who! Suddenly, I’m craving colored denim with a downtown twist and punchy coats in cool-girl shapes. You too?

The infusion of color (no one mixes hues better than Wearstler) – cool blues, purples, and greens with a jolt of peppy peach – are the ideal antidote to fall’s more expected neutrals like camel and espresso. Kelly Wearstler surprises again; Fall 2012 I welcome you with open (acid-washed) arms!
What do you think? Do you love Kelly Wearstler’s Fall 2012 collection as much as I do?

Oversized retro glasses have been a big trend over the last few years. And Catherine Malandrino’s models rocked them at her fall 2011 presentation at New York Fashion Week. As a glasses-wearing girl, I have a complete love/hate relationship with this trend. Pros: glasses are cute and make such a fun accessory, and it’s nice to know that something you need on a daily basis is deemed “cool.” Plus, how cute are The Girls with Glasses?! Also, glasses are the handiest BFF, hiding dark circles after long nights at the computer out partying and cleverly masking pesky crow’s feet. Cons: the big glasses trend is starting to feel so overdone, and often times the glasses of choice give their owners the vibe that they probably hang out by playgrounds in curtained vans, beckoning little children over with Tootsie Pops, if you know what I’m saying. I’d love to know your thoughts. Do you like to make a spectacle of yourself (sorry, couldn’t resist!)?

p.s. How much does the model on the right look like darling Rue editor Anne Sage?!
